Information for Authors

1. Manuscript Submission

Manuscripts can be submitted exclusively via online submission at http://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/thieme/plamed. Submissions of hardcopy manuscripts will not be accepted. Please refrain from sending manuscripts via email.

2. Guidelines for Authors

Authors preparing a manuscript for submission are asked to read the Guidelines for Authors (PDF File) very carefully. Important: Manuscripts that do not comply with the guidelines may either be returned to the authors without further consideration, or may be delayed in the review process. Please also note: Authors submitting incomplete manuscripts or manuscripts not according to the guidelines will be asked for adequate revisions in the course of the review process. Observing the guidelines carefully will facilitate reviewing the manuscript and will result in shorter publication time.

3. "10 Basic Rules (PDF File)"

The "10 Basic Rules for a Publication in Planta Medica" are part of the Guidelines. They provide an overview about the most important requirements for manuscripts submitted to the journal.

4. Sample Manuscripts

Authors are also asked to take note of the Sample Manuscript (PDF File) - for authors of Letters: Sample Letter (PDF File). This specimen manuscript provided by Planta Medica's editors will help authors to edit their manuscripts according to the guidelines.
