Manuscripts submitted to physioscience should address issues of relevance to physiotherapy. Authors are invited to submit the following types of papers for consideration: original articles, literature reviews, short communication, case reports, letters to the editor and unusual cases. No substantial part of the submission should have been published previously in English or any other language, nor should they be under consideration for publication elsewhere in English or any other language. Submitted papers are peer-reviewed before it is decided whether they should be accepted, rejected, or returned for revision.
Manuscript preparation
Original articles: up to 20 standard pages
Literature reviews: up to 20 standard pages
Case reports: up to 10 standard pages
Short communication: up to 10 standard pages
Images
Images: slides or paper prints; *.eps, *.tif or *.jpg files (resolution: 300dpi). Once the manuscript is accepted, written permission should be obtained for publication of photographs of recognisable subjects.
Drawings: master copy with reference or self-made.
Structure of the manuscripts
Original articles: abstract, key words, introduction, methods, results, discussion (including conclusion) and reference list. Abstracts should contain the following sections: introduction, methods, results and discussion (including conclusion).
Case Reports: short abstract, introduction, case report, discussion and reference list.
Other papers should contain the same sections as original articles if possible.

Manuscript preparation
- Electronic submission: Manuscripts and images may be submitted via e-mail. Text must be in MS Word format and images as *.eps, *.tif or *.jpg files in a resolution of 300dpi.
- Hard copy submission: All sections of all types of manuscripts must be typewritten on standard paper (DIN A4). Manuscripts must be accompanied by a disc file in MS Word format. Images must be included as .tif, .eps or .jpg files in a resolution of 300dpi.
- All manuscripts must be formatted one and half spaced with pages numbered and a margin of 3cm (1.4 inches) on the left and right side; font 12 points. One standard page has got approximately 1800 Characters (30 lines at 60 keystrokes).
- The title page of the manuscript should contain the following information: concise and informative title (no more than 20 words); full name, title and address of the corresponding author (including fax and telephone number and e-mail address); full names of all other authors.
- Optionally the title page could contain: institution (name and address) where work was undertaken; funding/support.
- Abstract page: The summary (abstract) should contain a maximum of 200 words. It should be self-explanatory and should include essential significant results that support the conclusion of the work. Three to six keywords should also be provided (selected from the Index Medicus Medical Subject Headings).
- Each table and figure must be referred to in the text and numbered. Each table must be typed on a separate page with its heading above it. Figures must be labelled on the back with the figure number. Legends for figures should be typed, starting on a separate page.
- References should be cited in the text in parenthesis - e.g. (Smith 1995) or (Smith et al. 2000).
