Aims and Scope

Plant biology is an international journal of broad scope bringing together the different subdisciplines, such as physiology, molecular biology, cell biology, development, genetics, systematics, ecology, evolution, ecophysiology, plant-microbe interactions, mycology and phytopathology. To this end, the international board of section editors represents all major areas of plant science and has a broad international base.

Plant Biology publishes original problem oriented research papers, rapid communications, and review articles. Discussions of hot topics and provocative opinion articles will be published under the heading acute views. From a multidisciplinary perspective, Plant Biology will provide a platform for publication, information and debate, encompassing all areas which fall within the scope of plant science.

Articles with an interdisciplinary approach are encouraged. A rigorous, independent peer-review system will guarantee that all work appearing in Plant Biology will be of high standard and great significance to plant biologists.

Indexed and abstracted by Current Contents/Life Sciences, Current Contents/Agriculture, Biology & Environment Sciences, Science Citation Index, Biosis, CABS and MEDLINE.
