SYNLETT Editorial Board Welcomes New Members

Profs Rubén Martín, ICIQ Tarragona (Spain), and David Nicewicz, UNC Chapel Hill (USA), will join the SYNLETT Editorial Board on January 1, 2018 and look forward to receiving manuscript submissions with your latest research.

We are pleased to announce the appointment of two new associate editors to the SYNLETT Editorial Board: Rubén Martín from the ICIQ in Tarragona (Spain) and David Nicewicz from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (USA). They will join the SYNLETT Editorial Board in January 1, 2018 and both of them will bring expertise in modern areas of chemical synthesis to the board and will strengthen our bonds to the next generation of chemists.

About Rubén
Rubén Martín was born in Barcelona in 1976. After he received his Ph.D. in 2003 at the University of Barcelona, he continued his career with postdoctoral studies at the Max-Planck-Institute for Coal Research with Prof. Alois Fuerstner. His research is in the areas of organic methodology development and complex molecule synthesis with a strong focus on photoredox catalysis and the functionalization of alkenes and arenes.

About David
David Nicewicz was born and raised in the United States in Central New Jersey. After being inspired by his high school chemistry teacher, David Nicewicz chose to study Chemistry at the UNC at Charlotte. After he finished his M.S. in 2002, he received his Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry at the UNC at Chapel Hill four years later. His career continued at Princeton University, where he completed his postdoctoral research under the advisorship of Prof. David MacMillan. His research is in the areas of organic methodology development and complex molecule synthesis with a strong focus on photoredox catalysis and the functionalization of alkenes and arenes.

About SYNLETT
SYNLETT is an international journal reporting research results and current trends in synthetic organic chemistry in short personalized reviews and preliminary communications. It covers all fields of scientific endeavor that involve organic synthesis, including catalysis, organometallic, medicinal, biological, and photochemistry, but also related disciplines and offers the possibility to publish scientific primary data
SYNLETT now offers the possibility to try the new and innovative Crowd Review system, if you submit your paper to the journal. Read more about this development here.
