SOS Roadshow in the Baltic States
Two seminars were held recently in two of the Baltic States, at the Vytautas Magnus University, Kaunas, Lithuania and the Latvian institute of Organic Synthesis, Riga, Latvia. The SOS Roadshow presentations were given by Dr. Fiona Shortt de Hernandez, Managing Editor of Science of Synthesis. Mr. Uwe Stehle, Sales Manager Institutional Sales, also attended the seminars and coordinated the collaboration with the libraries at the two institutes.

After the talk in Latvia Dr. Pugovics, Director of the Latvian Institute of Organic Synthesis, gave Dr. Shortt and Mr. Stehle a tour through the institute and the many laboratories there.
Dr. Shortt and Mr. Stehle also had the opportunity to meet one of our SOS authors, Dr. Kirin Shubin, who participated in the project "Cross Coupling and Heck-Type Reactions 3". Professor Suna and Dr. Shubin wrote the Section 3.2.2 Intramolecular Coupling via C(sp2)—H Activation (more information on the project).
