Rubén Martín wins Hirata Award

SYNLETT editor Professor Rubén Martín, Institute of Chemical Research of Catalonia (ICIQ) in Spain, has been selected for the 14th Hirata Award in 2018.

The Hirata Award, organized by the institute of Transformative Bio-Molecules (ITbM) at Nagoya University, is an international award to honor a rising star in the field of organic chemistry. Professor Martín and his research contribution to the "discovery of development of synthetically useful organometallic methodologies" is selected to receive the Hirata Award 2018. The award ceremony is held at the Nagoya University in Japan at the Noyori Conference Hall on 4th of October, 2018.

Professor Martín, editor of the Thieme journal SYNLETT, started his independent career in 2008. He already received multiple recognized awards including the 2010 RSEQ Young Investigator Award, 2011 Thieme Chemistry Journal Award, 2017 OMCOS Award and the 2018 Bristol-Myers-Squibb Lectureship Award.
