Thieme Chemistry Editorial Board Meeting 2017
This report gives some impressions from the Thieme Chemistry Editorial Board Meeting 2017 in Porto.
The Editors of SYNTHESIS, SYNLETT, SYNFACTS, SynOpen, SYNFORM and – for the first time in a joint meeting – Science of Synthesis, together with a very upbeat Thieme Chemistry team, gathered on June 9th and 10th in the beautiful city of Porto, in the north west of Portugal. One of the hottest topics on the table concerning the peer-reviewed journals – SYNLETT, SYNTHESIS and SynOpen – was the review of the ground-breaking “crowd review” pioneered by SYNLETT’s Editor-in-Chief, Professor Benjamin List, which has already attracted considerable interest from the scientific community (see also 1 paper, 72 hours, 100 reviewers: Intelligent Crowd Review).
